Number Of Coronavirus-Infected People In Kyiv City Up 627 To 199,802 On May 11, Number Of Deaths Up 16 To 4,854 – Klitschko

On May 11, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 627 over May 10 to 199,802, and the number of deaths increased by 16 to 4,854.

Kyiv City Mayor / Chairperson of the Kyiv City State Administration, Vitali Klitschko, announced this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Since the start of the epidemic, a total of 4,854 fatal cases have been registered in Ukraine’s capital.

On May 11, a total of 69 patients with coronavirus, and 111 people with suspected coronavirus and pneumonia were hospitalized to the capital's hospitals.

At the same time, 864 people recovered.

Since the start of the epidemic, a total of 129,072 Kyivans have recovered.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on May 10, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 98 over May 9 to 199,175, and the number of deaths increased by 12 to 4,838.

On May 11, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 4,538 over May 10 to 2,129,073, and the number of deaths increased by 356 over May 10 to 46,987; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by twice, and the number of new lethal cases increased three times.

According to the report, as of the morning of May 12, a total of 2,129,073 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 46,987 fatal cases; 1,797,136 people had recovered.

On May 11, a total of 4,538 new disease cases were recorded, 356 people died, and 19,766 people recovered.

Therefore, as of May 11, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (4,538 vs 19,766).

As of the morning of May 12, the overall number of currently coronavirus-infected people in Ukraine was 284,950, down 5.2% over May 11.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (199,802), Kharkiv region (141,115), and Odesa region (136,637).
