NBU Enters No Interbank Market 5th Week In Row

In the period of May 5-7, the National Bank of Ukraine did not enter the interbank foreign currency market.

The central bank has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Besides, the NBU did not enter the interbank market on April 5-9, April 12-16, April 19-23, and April 26-30.

Since the start of the year, the NBU has acquired USD 230.5 million and sold USD 70 million at a uniform rate.

Using the Matching mechanism, the NBU has acquired USD 60 million.

In 2020, the NBU acquired USD 4,929 million and sold USD 3,891 million on the interbank foreign currency market.

In 2020, the central bank acquired USD 478.5 million and sold USD 802 million using the Matching mechanism.

A total of 270.1 million was sold in the course of foreign currency auctions.

The NBU acquired USD 4,450.5 million and sold USD 2,818.9 million at a uniform rate.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in 2018, the NBU acquired USD 3,173.78 million and sold USD 1,801.82 million on the interbank foreign currency market.

In 2019, it bought UAH 8,462.6 million and sold USD 529.23 million.
