Weighted Average Price Of Electricity At Day-Ahead Market Down 8.8% To UAH 1,583 Per MWh On April 19-26

As of April 26, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market in the unified energy system of Ukraine decreased by 8.8% or UAH 152.82 per MWh to UAH 1,582.97 per MWh over April 19.

The Market Operator state-run enterprise has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In turn, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market within the Burshtyn Energy Island decreased by 0.3% or UAH 4.57 per MWh to UAH 1,700.35 per MWh.

Compared to prices on the European energy exchange Nord Pool, the price in the UES of Ukraine (EUR 47.01 per MWh) was lower than the prices in Sweden (EUR 51.24 per MWh) by 9%, in Norway (EUR 55.25 per MWh) by 17.5%, in Germany (EUR 61.92 per MWh) by 24.1%, in France (EUR 60.65 per MWh) by 29%, in Denmark (EUR 61.56 per MWh) by 26.7%, and in Austria (EUR 64.44 per MWh) by 37.1%.

Also at the Hungarian stock exchange HUPX for the same period, the weighted average cost of electricity decreased by 17% or EUR 13.89 per MWh to EUR 68.01 per MWh (UAH 2,289.99 per MWh according to the NBU rate as of April 26).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, as of April 19, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market in the unified energy system of Ukraine increased by 7.3% or UAH 118.32 per MWh to UAH 1,735.79 per MWh over April 12.
