Weighted Average Price Of Electricity At Day-Ahead Market Up 21.6% To UAH 1,617.5 Per MWh On April 5-12

As of April 12, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market in the unified energy system of Ukraine increased by 21.6% or UAH 287.27 per MWh to UAH 1,617.47 per MWh over April 5.

The Market Operator state-run enterprise has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In turn, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market within the Burshtyn Energy Island slightly increased by 18.3% or UAH 261.07 per MWh to UAH 1,686.90 per MWh.

Compared to prices on the European energy exchange Nord Pool, the price in the UES of Ukraine (EUR 48.79 per MWh) higher than the prices in Norway (EUR 35.78 per MWh) by 26.7%, in Sweden (EUR 31.64 per MWh) by 54.2%, in Denmark (EUR 43.94 per MWh) by 11%.

At the same time, in France the price of electricity (EUR 72.01 per MWh) higher than the prices in Ukraine by 47.6%, in Germany (EUR 62.72 per MWh) by 28.6%, and in Austria (EUR 67.53 per MWh) by 38.4%.

Also at the Hungarian stock exchange HUPX for the same period, the weighted average cost of electricity increased by 21.9% or EUR 11.99 per MWh to EUR 66.79 per MWh (UAH 2,214.24 per MWh according to the NBU rate as of April 12).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, as of April 5, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market in the unified energy system of Ukraine decreased by 4% or UAH 55.05 per MWh to UAH 1,330.20 per MWh over March 29.
