Number Of Coronavirus-Infected People In Kyiv City Up By 1,886 To 172,403 On April 7, Number Of Deaths Up By 48 To 3,749 – Klitschko

On April 7, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 1,886 over April 6 to 172,403, and the number of deaths increased by 48 to 3,749.

Kyiv City Mayor / Chairperson of the Kyiv City State Administration, Vitali Klitschko, announced this at a briefing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

There were 1,094 women aged 18-96; 744 men aged 18-88; 25 girls aged 1-17; and 23 boys aged 7m-16y among the people infected with the coronavirus on April 7.

Over the past day, 189 people were hospitalized in the capital's hospitals with COVID-19.

A total of 717 people recovered.

Since the start of the epidemic, a total of 109,499 Kyiv residents have recovered.

The largest number of coronavirus cases was registered in Desnianskyi district (323), Darnytskyi district (318), and in Holosiivskyi district (253).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 6, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 1,417 over April 5 to 170,517, and the number of deaths increased by 45 to 3,701.

On April 7, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 19,419 over April 6 to 1,803,998, and the number of deaths increased by 464 over April 6 to 35,962; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 26%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 3.5%.

According to the report, as of the morning of April 8, a total of 1,803,998 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 35,962 fatal cases; 1,383,883 people had recovered.

On March 23, a total of 19,419 new disease cases were recorded, 464 people died, and 10,032 people recovered.

Therefore, as of April 7, the number of newly-infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (19,419 vs. 10,032).

The number of coronavirus-infected people as of the morning of April 8 was 384,153, up 2.4% over April 7.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (172,403), Odesa region (117,549), and Kharkiv region (113,448).
