Weighted Average Price Of Electricity At Day-Ahead Market Down 4% To UAH 1,330.2 Per MWh On March 29 - April 5

As of April 5, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market in the unified energy system of Ukraine decreased by 4% or UAH 55.05 per MWh to UAH 1,330.20 per MWh over March 29.

The Market Operator state-run enterprise has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In turn, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market within the Burshtyn Energy Island slightly declined by 16.3% or UAH 277 per MWh to UAH 1,425.83 per MWh.

Compared to prices on the European energy exchange Nord Pool, the price in the UES of Ukraine (EUR 40.50 per MWh) higher than the prices in Norway (EUR 15.02 per MWh) 2.7 times, in Sweden (EUR 7.02 per MWh) 5.8 times, in Austria (EUR 7.39 per MWh) 5.5 times, and in France (EUR 26.81 per MWh) by 51%.

At the same time, in Denmark and Germany, the cost of electricity dropped to negative values.

In Denmark, the electricity price as of April 5 is -10.69 EUR/MWh, and in Germany -17 EUR/MWh.

Also at the Hungarian stock exchange HUPX for the same period, the weighted average cost of electricity increased by 1.2% or EUR 0.63 per MWh to EUR 54.80 per MWh (UAH 1,799.44 per MWh according to the NBU rate as of April 5).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, as of March 29, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market in the unified energy system of Ukraine decreased by 14.6% or UAH 235.95 per MWh to UAH 1,385.25 per MWh over March 22.
