On April 1, a total of 5,040 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, down 2.3% over March 31.
The Health Ministry has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the report, on April 1, a total of 834 children and 484 medical workers were tested positive for the Covid-19.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 31, a total of 5,160 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, down 7.2% over March 30.
On April 1, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 19,893 over March 31 to 1,711,630, and the number of deaths increased by 433 over March 31 to 33,679; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 13.2%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 2.9%.
According to the report, as of the morning of April 2, a total of 1,579,906 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 32,679 fatal cases; 1,323,370 people had recovered.
On March 23, a total of 19,893 new disease cases were recorded, 433 people died, and 10,287 people recovered.
Therefore, as of April 1, the number of newly-infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (19,893 vs. 10,287).
The number of coronavirus-infected people as of the morning of April 2 was 344,581, up 2.7% over April 1.
Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (164,605), Odesa region (110,479), and Kharkiv region (106,479).
