Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 6.6% To 11,226, Number Of New Lethal Cases Up 42.3% To 407 On March 30

On March 30, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 11,226 over March 29 to 1,674,168, and the number of deaths increased by 407 over March 29 to 32,825; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 6.6%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 42.3%.

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of March 31, a total of 1,579,906 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 32,825 fatal cases; 1,313,481 people had recovered.

On March 23, a total of 11,226 new disease cases were recorded, 407 people died, and 6,405 people recovered.

Therefore, as of March 30, the number of newly-infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (11,226 vs. 6,405).

The number of coronavirus-infected people as of the morning of March 31 was 327,862, up 1.3% over March 30.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (162,291), Odesa region (107,566), and Kharkiv region (103,804).

Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 103,670 coronavirus infection cases, Kyiv region – 95,323; Dnipropetrovsk region – 91,122 cases, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 79,225, Zaporizhia region – 78,386, Zhytomyr region – 71,032, Chernivtsi region – 69,844, Khmelnytskyi region - 63,780, Donetsk region – 59,206, Sumy region – 58,193, Rivne region – 57,724, and Cherkasy region – 57,393.

A total of 57,101 cases have been registered in Vinnytsia region, 55,021 cases – in Poltava region, 54,080 cases - in Ternopil region, 54,045 cases - in Zakarpattia region, 51,924 cases – in Mykolayiv region, 46,674 cases – in Volyn region, 41,884 cases – in Chernihiv region, 24,258 – in Kherson region, 17,460 – in Luhansk region, and 13,162 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 29, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 10,533 over March 28 to 1,662,942, and the number of deaths increased by 286 over March 28 to 32,418; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 26.2%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 60.7%.

On March 28, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 8,346 over March 27 to 1,652,409, and the number of deaths increased by 178 over March 27 to 32,132; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 30.1%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 12.3%.
