Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 26.2% To 10,533, Number Of New Lethal Cases Up 60.7% To 286 On March 29

On March 29, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 10,533 over March 28 to 1,662,942, and the number of deaths increased by 286 over March 28 to 32,418; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 26.2%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 60.7%.

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of March 30, a total of 1,579,906 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 32,418 fatal cases; 1,307,076 people had recovered.

On March 23, a total of 10,533 new disease cases were recorded, 286 people died, and 3,576 people recovered.

Therefore, as of March 29, the number of newly-infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (10,533 vs. 3,576).

The number of coronavirus-infected people as of the morning of March 30 was 323,448, up 2.1% over March 29.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (161,191), Odesa region (106,554), and Kharkiv region (102,898).

Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 102,837 coronavirus infection cases, Kyiv region – 94,893; Dnipropetrovsk region – 90,913 cases, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 79,000, Zaporizhia region – 77,649, Zhytomyr region – 70,598, Chernivtsi region – 69,633, Khmelnytskyi region - 63,116, Donetsk region – 58,501, Sumy region – 57,706, Rivne region – 57,133, and Cherkasy region – 57,019.

A total of 56,662 cases have been registered in Vinnytsia region, 54,728 cases – in Poltava region, 53,878 cases - in Ternopil region, 53,675 cases - in Zakarpattia region, 51,677 cases – in Mykolayiv region, 46,420 cases – in Volyn region, 41,858 cases – in Chernihiv region, 24,112 – in Kherson region, 17,247 – in Luhansk region, and 13,044 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 28, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 8,346 over March 27 to 1,652,409, and the number of deaths increased by 178 over March 27 to 32,132; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 30.1%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 12.3%.

On March 27, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 11,932 over March 26 to 1,644,063, and the number of deaths increased by 203 over March 26 to 31,954; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 31.5%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 30%.
