Number Of People Vaccinated With 1st Dose Up 38.5% To 15,097 March 23

On March 23, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine increased by 38.5% over March 22 to 15,097.

The Health Ministry has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

No one was vaccinated with the second vaccine dose on March 23.

Since the start of the vaccination campaign, a total of 137,026 people have been vaccinated.

As of March 23, a total of 331,131 people signed up for the vaccination against the Covid-19.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on March 22, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine increased by 4 times over March 21 to 10,904.

On March 23, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 14,174 over March 22 to 1,579,906, and the number of deaths increased by 342 over March 22 to 30,773; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 23.5%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 2.7%.

According to the report, as of the morning of March 24, a total of 1,579,906 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 30,773 fatal cases; 1,276,272 people had recovered.

On March 23, a total of 14,174 new disease cases were recorded, 342 people died, and 7,386 people recovered.

Therefore, as of March 23, the number of newly-infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (14,174 vs. 7,386).

The number of coronavirus-infected people as of the morning of March 24 was 272,861, up 2.4% over March 23.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (155,336), Odesa region (100,548), and Kharkiv region (97,068).
