Ukraine's GDP Down 4.0% In 2020

In 2020, real gross domestic product (GDP) decreased by 4.0% compared to 2019 (in constant 2016 prices) to UAH 4,194.102 billion (in actual prices) (excluding the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol).

The State Statistics Service announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The State Statistics Service specifies figures of the real gross domestic product during a year.

According to the updated data of the State Statistics Service, in October-December 2020, the real gross domestic product decreased by 0.5% compared to the same period in 2019 to UAH 1,301.539 billion (in actual prices).

Compared to the third quarter of 2020, GDP increased by 0.8% (taking into account the seasonal factor and excluding the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol).

GDP for the first quarter of 2020 decreased by 1.2% to UAH 854.051 billion, in the second quarter of 2020 it decreased by 11.2% to UAH 875.340 billion, in the third quarter of 2020 it decreased by 3.5% to UAH 1,163.172 billion.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2019, real gross domestic product increased by 3.2% compared to 2018 (at constant 2016 prices) to UAH 3,974.564 billion (in actual prices) (excluding the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol).
