Number Of Vaccinations With 1st Dose Up 50.2% To 8,859 March 11

On March 11, the number of vaccinations with the first dose rose by 50.2% over March 10 to 8,859.

The Health Ministry has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Not a single person has been vaccinated with the second dose of the vaccine.

Since the very start of the vaccination campaign, a total of 38,237 people have been vaccinated.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 10, the number of vaccinations with the first dose rose by 35.2% over March 9 to 5,898.

On March 11, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 12,946 over March 10 to 1,438,468, and the number of deaths increased by 230 over March 10 to 27,915; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 42.5%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 12.2%.

According to the report, as of the morning of March 12, a total of 1,438,468 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 27,915 fatal cases; 1,214,876 people had recovered.

On March 11, a total of 12,946 new disease cases were recorded, 230 people died, and 4,630 people recovered.

Therefore, as of March 11, the number of newly-infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (12,946 vs. 4,630).

The number of coronavirus-infected people as of the morning of March 12 was 195,677, up 4.3% over March 11.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (144,910), Odesa region (90,605), and Kharkiv region (88,385).
