Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 42.5% To 12,946, Number Of New Lethal Cases Down 12.2% To 230 On March 11

On March 11, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 12,946 over March 10 to 1,438,468, and the number of deaths increased by 230 over March 10 to 27,915; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 42.5%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 12.2%.

The Ministry of Health has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of March 12, a total of 1,438,468 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 27,915 fatal cases; 1,214,876 people had recovered.

On March 11, a total of 12,946 new disease cases were recorded, 230 people died, and 4,630 people recovered.

Therefore, as of March 11, the number of newly-infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (12,946 vs. 4,630).

The number of coronavirus-infected people as of the morning of March 12 was 195,677, up 4.3% over March 11.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (144,910), Odesa region (90,605), and Kharkiv region (88,385).

Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 85,038 coronavirus infection cases, Kyiv region – 80,669; Dnipropetrovsk region – 77,619 cases, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 71,651, Zaporizhia region – 71,490, Chernivtsi region – 60,912, Zhytomyr region – 57,521, Khmelnytskyi region - 51,393, Rivne region – 50,793, Sumy region – 50,585, Cherkasy region – 50,468, and Donetsk region – 49,730.

A total of 48,074 cases have been registered in Poltava region, 45,939 cases – in Zakarpattia region, 45,632 cases - in Ternopil region, 44,770 cases - in Mykolayiv region, 44,396 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 41,973 cases – in Volyn region, 37,087 cases – in Chernihiv region, 22,147 – in Kherson region, 15,498 – in Luhansk region, and 11,183 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 10, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 9,084 over March 9 to 1,425,522, and the number of deaths increased by 262 over March 9 to 27,685; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 42.4%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 19.6%.

On March 9, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 6,377 over March 8 to 1,416,438, and the number of deaths increased by 219 over March 8 to 27,423; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 95.6%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 2.9 times.
