Weighted Average Price Of Electricity At Day-Ahead Market Down 19.2% To UAH 1,416.34 Per MWh On March 1-9

As of March 9, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market in the unified energy system of Ukraine decreased by 19.2% or UAH 336.85 per MWh to UAH 1,416.34 per MWh over March 1.

The Market Operator state-run enterprise has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In turn, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market within the Burshtyn Energy Island decreased by 1.6% or UAH 28.5 per MWh to UAH 1,702.14 per MWh.

Compared to prices on the European energy exchange Nord Pool, the price in the UES of Ukraine (EUR 42.82 per MWh) lower than the prices in Norway (EUR 44.83 per MWh) by 4.5%, in Sweden (EUR 43.12 per MWh) by 0.69%, in Denmark (EUR 60.99 per MWh) by 29.8%, in France (EUR 61.20 per MWh) by 30%, in Germany (EUR 60.92 per MWh) by 29.7%, in Austria (EUR 61.04 per MWh) by 29.8%.

Also at the Hungarian stock exchange HUPX for the same period, the weighted average cost of electricity increased by 18.7% or EUR 9.86 per MWh to EUR 62.60 per MWh (UAH 2,070.49 per MWh according to the NBU rate as of March 9).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, as of March 1, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market in the unified energy system of Ukraine increased by 33.9% or UAH 444.12 per MWh to UAH 1,753.19 per MWh over February 22.
