NBU Acquires USD 20 Million On Interbank Market March 1-5

On March 1-5, the National Bank of Ukraine acquired USD 20 million on the interbank foreign currency market.

The NBU has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

USD 20 million was acquired at a uniform rate.

Since the start of the year, the NBU has acquired USD 200 million and sold USD 20 million at a uniform rate.

Besides, the central bank has acquired USD 60 million using the Matching mechanism.

In 2020, the NBU acquired USD 4,929 million and sold USD 3,891 million on the interbank foreign currency market; USD 478.5 million was bought and USD 802 million was sold using the Matching mechanism.

The NBU sold USD 270.1 million and did not buy foreign currency during foreign currency tenders.

Besides, the NBU acquired USD 4,450.5 million and sold USD 2,818.9 million at a uniform rate.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2018, the NBU acquired USD 3,173.78 million and USD 1,801.82 million on the interbank foreign currency market.

In 2019, the NBU acquired USD 8,462.6 million and sold USD 529.23 million on the interbank foreign currency market.
