Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 0.9% To 10,155, Number Of New Lethal Cases Down 11.3% To 172 On March 4

On March 4, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 10,155 over March 3 to 1,384,917, and the number of deaths increased by 172 over March 3 to 26,763; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 0.9%, and the number of new lethal cases decrease by 11.3%.

The Ministry of Health has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of March 5, a total of 1,384,917 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 26,763 fatal cases; 1,191,022 people had recovered.

On March 4, a total of 10,155 new disease cases were recorded, 172 people died, and 4,149 people recovered.

Therefore, as of March 4, the number of newly-infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (10,155 vs. 4,149).

The number of coronavirus-infected people as of the morning of March 5 was 167,132, up 3.6% over March 4.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (140,916), Odesa region (87,582), and Kharkiv region (85,605).

Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 81,221 coronavirus infection cases, Kyiv region – 77,668; Dnipropetrovsk region – 75,176 cases, Zaporizhia region – 70,410, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 67,761, Chernivtsi region – 57,315, Zhytomyr region – 53,549, Rivne region - 49,682, Sumy region – 49,390, Cherkasy region – 49,374, Khmelnytskyi region – 49,332, and Donetsk region – 48,312.

A total of 46,926 cases have been registered in Poltava region, 43,617 cases – in Ternopil region, 43,148 cases - in Mykolayiv region, 42,839 cases - in Zakarpattia region, 40,936 cases – in Volyn region, 39,883 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 36,325 cases – in Chernihiv region, 21,877 – in Kherson region, 15,169 – in Luhansk region, and 10,904 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 3, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 10,057 over March 2 to 1,374,762, and the number of deaths increased by 194 over March 2 to 26,591; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 39%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 4.9%.

On March 2, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 7,235 over March 1 to 1,164,705, and the number of deaths increased by 185 over March 1 to 26,397; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 35.6%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 14.2%.
