Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 39% To 10,057, Number Of New Lethal Cases Up 4.9% To 194 On March 3

On March 3, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 10,057 over March 2 to 1,374,762, and the number of deaths increased by 194 over March 2 to 26,591; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 39%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 4.9%.

The Ministry of Health has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of March 4, a total of 1,374,762 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 26,591 fatal cases; 1,186,873 people had recovered.

On March 3, 10,057 new disease cases were recorded, 194 people died, and 4,837 people recovered.

Therefore, as of March 3, newly-infected people's indicator was higher than that of those who recovered (10,057 vs. 4,837).

The number of coronavirus-infected people as of the morning of March 4 was 161,298, up 3.2% over March 3.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (140,006), Odesa region (87,210), and Kharkiv region (85,039).

Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 80,575 coronavirus infection cases, Kyiv region – 76,978; Dnipropetrovsk region – 74,679 cases, Zaporizhia region – 70,247, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 67,024, Chernivtsi region – 56,754, Zhytomyr region – 52,854, Rivne region - 49,484, Cherkasy region – 49,152, Sumy region – 49,152, Khmelnytskyi region – 48,914, and Donetsk region – 47,978.

A total of 46,754 cases have been registered in Poltava region, 43,223 cases – in Ternopil region, 42,939 cases - in Mykolayiv region, 42,091 cases - in Zakarpattia region, 40,659 cases – in Volyn region, 39,067 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 36,188 cases – in Chernihiv region, 21,823 – in Kherson region, 15,119 – in Luhansk region, and 10,835 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 2, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 7,235 over March 1 to 1,164,705, and the number of deaths increased by 185 over March 1 to 26,397; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 35.6%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 14.2%.

On March 1, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 5,336 over February 28 to 1,357,470, and the number of deaths increased by 162 over February 28 to 26,212; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 24.5%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 2.4 times.
