Number Of Coronavirus-Infected People In Kyiv City Up 156 To 138,020 On February 28, Number Of Deaths Up 5 To 2,662 – Klitschko

On February 28, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 156 over February 27 to 138,020, and the number of deaths increased by five to 2,662.

Kyiv City Mayor / Chairperson of the Kyiv City State Administration, Vitali Klitschko, has written this on Telegram, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

There were 79 women aged 20-85, 69 men aged 18-90, four girls aged 9-17, and four boys aged 4-15 among the people infected with the coronavirus on February 28.

A total of 54 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized and 16 citizens recovered.

For all the time, 93,850 residents of Kyiv have overcome the coronavirus.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 27, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 208 over February 26 to 137,864, and the number of deaths increased by eight to 2,657.

On February 28, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 4,285 over February 27 to 1,352,134, and the number of deaths increased by 68 over February 27 to 26,050; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 26.5%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 23.6%.

According to the report, as of the morning of March 1, a total of 1,352,134 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 26,050 fatal cases; 1,171,724 people had recovered.

On February 28, 4,285 new disease cases were recorded, 68 people died, and 1,701 people recovered.

Therefore, as of February 28, newly-infected people's indicator was higher than that of those who recovered (4,285 vs. 1,701).

The number of coronavirus-infected people as of the morning of March 1 was 154,360, up 1.7% over February 28.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (138,020), Odesa region (86,099), and Kharkiv region (83,884).
