Number Of Coronavirus-Infected People In Kyiv City Up 169 To 134,675 On February 21, Number Of Deaths Up 8 To 2,581 – Klitschko

On February 21, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 169 over February 20 to 134,675, and the number of deaths increased by eight to 2,581.

Kyiv City Mayor / Chairperson of the Kyiv City State Administration, Vitali Klitschko, has written this on Telegram, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the city mayor, the overall number of confirmed coronavirus cases was 134,675.

There were 96 women aged 18-93, 67 men aged 19-82, three girls aged 12-16, and three boys aged 1m-17y among the people infected with the coronavirus on February 21.

Since the start of the epidemic, a total of 2,581 fatal cases have been registered in the city of Kyiv.

A total of 42 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized on February 21.

A total of 122 Kyivans recovered on February 21.

Since the start of the epidemic, 91,925 residents of Kyiv have recovered from the Covid-19.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 20, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 200 over February 19 to 134,506, and the number of deaths increased by six to 2,573.

On February 21, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 3,206 over February 20 to 1,307,662, and the number of deaths increased by 53 over February 20 to 25,156; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 28.6%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 8.6%.

According to the report, as of the morning of February 19, a total of 1,307,662 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 25,156 fatal cases; 1,147,426 people had recovered.

On February 21, 3,206 new disease cases were recorded, 53 people died, and 1,353 people recovered.

Therefore, as of February 21, newly-infected people's indicator was higher than that of those who recovered (3,206 vs. 1,353).

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (134,675), Odesa region (84,524), and Kharkiv region (81,825).
