Number Of PCR-Tests Down 3.8% To 26,739, Number Of ELISA Up 2.6% To 16,387 On February 10 – Health Ministry

On February 10, a total of 26,739 polymerase chain reaction tests (PCR) were conducted, down 3.8% over February 9; and the number of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) increased 2.6% over February 9 to 16,387.

The Health Ministry has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Since the start of the year, a total of 6,474,315 polymerase chain reaction tests have been conducted.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 9, a total of 27,795 polymerase chain reaction tests (PCR) were conducted, up 57.4% over February 8; and the number of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) increased 20.6% over February 8 to 15,972.

On February 10, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 5,039 over February 9 to 1,258,094, and the number of deaths increased by 124 over February 9 to 24,058; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 47.8%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased 23.9%.

According to the report, as of the morning of February 11, a total of 1,258,094 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 24,058 fatal cases; 1,092,376 people had recovered.

On February 10, 5,039 new disease cases were recorded, 124 people died, and 6,568 people recovered.

Therefore, as of February 10, newly-infected people's indicator was lower than that of those who recovered (6,568 vs. 5,039).

As of the morning of February 11, the overall number of those staying ill with the Covid-19 (without the recovered and died) made 135,092, down 1.1% over February 10.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (131,199), Odesa region (82,899), and Kharkiv region (79,823).
