Health Ministry To Launch Vaccination Portal Against Coronavirus Soon

The Health Ministry intends to launch a portal on vaccination against Covid-19 in the coming days.

Health Minister, Maksym Stepanov, has said this at a briefing, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The resource allows its users to check a stage of vaccination they have to undergo.

According to Stepanov, by the end of February, the portal will have an option to sign in for the vaccination.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Stepanov is expecting the vaccination campaign to start on February 15.

On February 8, a total of 17,658 polymerase chain reaction tests (PCR) were conducted, up 70% over February 7; and the number of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) increased 4.1 times over February 7 to 13,243.

Since the start of the year, a total of 6,419,781 polymerase chain reaction tests have been conducted.

On February 7, a total of 10,401 polymerase chain reaction tests (PCR) were conducted, down 33.7% over February 6; and the number of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) decreased 14.4% over February 6 to 3,261.

On February 8, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 2,656 over February 7 to 1,249,646, and the number of deaths increased by 127 over February 7 to 23,771; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 24.1%, and the number of new lethal cases rose 2.7 times.

According to the report, as at the morning of February 9, there were 1,249,646 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 23,771 lethal cases; besides, 1,084,608 people had recovered.

On February 8, a total of 2,656 new cases of the disease were recorded, 127 people died, and 8,865 people recovered.

Therefore, as at February 8, the indicator of newly-infected people was lower than the number of those, who recovered (8,865 vs 2,656).

As at the morning of February 9, the overall number of those, who are staying ill with the Covid-19 (less the recovered and died) made 141,267, down 4.3% over February 8.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (130,567), Odesa region (82,629), and Kharkiv region (79,403).
