Weighted Average Price Of Electricity At Day-Ahead Market Up 8% To UAH 1,705 Per MWh On January 11-25

As of January 25, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market in the unified energy system of Ukraine increased by 7.99% or UAH 126.27 per MWh to UAH 1,705.49 per MWh over January 11.

The Market Operator state-run enterprise has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In turn, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market within the Burshtyn Energy Island increased by 7% or UAH 115.07 per MWh to UAH 1,761.09 per MWh.

Compared to prices on the European energy exchange Nord Pool, the price in the UES of Ukraine (EUR 49.79 per MWh) lower than the prices in Norway (EUR 54.05 per MWh) by 8.5%, in Sweden (EUR 55.58 per MWh) by 11.6%, in Denmark (EUR 60.49 per MWh) by 21.5%, in Germany (EUR 60.84 per MWh) by 22.2%, in France (EUR 61.70 per MWh) by 23.8%, and in Austria (EUR 61.08 per MWh) by 22.7%.

Also at the Hungarian stock exchange HUPX for the same period, the weighted average cost of electricity increased by 12.6% or EUR 6.65 per MWh to EUR 59.55 per MWh (UAH 2,039.74 per MWh according to the NBU rate as of January 11).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, As of January 11, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market in the unified energy system of Ukraine increased by 17.19% or UAH 231.66 per MWh to UAH 1,579.22 per MWh over January 4.
