Finance Ministry Places Government Bonds For UAH 7.6 Billion And USD 48.2 Million

On January 12, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine placed government domestic loan bonds for UAH 7.6 billion and USD 48.2 million.

The Finance Ministry has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Via the government domestic loan bonds auctions, the Finance Ministry offered to investors four issues of securities denominated in local currency and one issue denominated in foreign currency.

The hryvnia-denominated bonds have the maturity of 6 months, 1, 2 and 3 years, and those denominated in dollars – 1 year.

A total of UAH 7.6 billion was attracted to the state budget from the placement of the government bonds denominated in hryvnias.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2019, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine attracted UAH 227.6 billion, USD 4.3 billion, and EUR 387 million from the placement of government domestic loan bonds.
