On December 30, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 9,699 over December 29 to 1,055,047, and the number of deaths increased by 209 over December 29 to 18,533; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 21.5%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 14%.
This follows from a statement posted on the Coronavirus Info Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the report, as at the morning of December 31, there were 1,055,047 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 18,533 lethal cases; besides, 709,993 people had recovered.
On December 30, a total of 9,699 new cases of the disease were recorded, 209 people died, and 11,803 people recovered.
Therefore, as at December 30, the indicator of newly-infected people was lower than the number of those, who recovered (9,699 vs 11,803).
As at the morning of December 31, the overall number of those, who are staying ill with the Covid-19 (less the recovered and died) made 326,521, down 5.9% over December 30.
Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (111,471), Odesa region (71,125), and Kharkiv region (69,377).
Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 61,268 coronavirus infection cases, Kyiv region – 59,204; Dnipropetrovsk region – 58,561 cases, Zaporizhia region – 54,088, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 43,190, Rivne region – 40,990, Sumy region – 40,642, Chernivtsi region - 40,017, Zhytomyr region – 39,202, Khmelnytskyi region – 39,187, Cherkasy region – 39,011, and Donetsk region – 36,391.
A total of 36,079 cases have been registered in Poltava region, 34,023 cases – in Ternopil region, 33,016 cases - in Volyn region, 30,900 cases - in Mykolayiv region, 29,897 cases – in Chernihiv region, 28,200 cases – in Zakarpattia region, 22,500 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 17,752 cases – in Kherson region, 10,508 – in Luhansk region, and 8,448 cases – in Kirovohrad region.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 29, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 7,986 over December 28 to 1,045,348, and the number of deaths increased by 243 over December 28 to 18,324; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 14.3%, and the number of new lethal cases rose 4.7%.
On December 28, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 6,988 over December 27 to 1,037,362, and the number of deaths increased by 232 over December 27 to 18,081; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 59.4%, and the number of new lethal cases rose 3.1 times.
