The Health Ministry is not planning to alter the lockdown rules scheduled for January 8-24.
Health Minister, Maksym Stepanov, has said this at a briefing, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the minister, the term of the lockdown is not to be changed.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to impose a lockdown from January 8-24 inclusive.
On December 27, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 4,385 over December 26 to 1,030,374, and the number of deaths increased by 75 over December 26 to 17,849; at the same time, the number of new cases fell by 28.3%, and the number of new lethal cases rose by 4.2%.
According to the report, as at the morning of December 28, there were 1,030,374 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 17,849 lethal cases; besides, 665,729 people had recovered.
On December 27, a total of 4,385 new cases of the disease were recorded, 72 people died, and 7,191 people recovered.
Therefore, as at December 27, the indicator of newly-infected people was lower than the number of those, who recovered (4,385 vs 7,191).
As at the morning of December 28, the overall number of those, who are staying ill with the Covid-19 (less the recovered and died) made 346,796, down 0.8% over December 27.
Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (108,055), Odesa region (69,134), and Kharkiv region (67,991).
