On December 21, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 1,159 over December 20 to 102,282, and the number of deaths rose by 26 to 1,749.
Kyiv City Mayor / Chairperson of the Kyiv City State Administration, Vitali Klitschko, wrote about this on Facebook, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.
There were 644 women aged 18-88; 424 men aged 18-90; 39 girls aged 5m-17y; and 52 boys aged 2m-16y among the people infected with the coronavirus on December 21.
Besides, 36 medical workers fell ill.
A total of 121 people were hospitalized in the capital.
A total of 1,242 people recovered on December 21, and 33,981 have recovered since the start of the epidemic.
The largest number of coronavirus cases was registered in Darnytskyi district – 232, in Dniprovskyi district – 201, and in Solomianskyi district - 140.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 20, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 673 over December 19 to 101,123, and the number of deaths rose by 10 to 1,723.
On December 21, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 8,513 over December 20 to 979,506, and the number of deaths increased by 232 over December 20 to 16,897; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 30.1%, and the number of new lethal cases rose 2.9 times.
According to the report, as at the morning of December 22, there were 979,506 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 16,897 lethal cases; besides, 600,288 people had recovered.
On December 21, a total of 8,513 new cases of the disease were recorded, 232 people died, and 14,020 people recovered.
Therefore, as at December 21, the indicator of newly-infected people was lower than the number of those, who recovered (8,513 vs 14,020).
The number of the active sick (only those sick) as at the morning of December 22, made 362,321 people, down 1.6% day over day.
Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (102,282), Kharkiv region (65,652), and Odesa region (65,503).
