On December 15, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 10,622 over December 14 to 919,704, and the number of deaths increased by 264 over December 14 to 15,744; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 26.2%, and the number of new lethal cases rose 13.3%.
The National Security and Defense Council has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the report, as at the morning of December 16, there were 919,704 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 15,744 lethal cases; besides, 535,417 people had recovered.
On December 15, a total of 10,622 new cases of the disease were recorded, 264 people died, and 12,549 people recovered.
Therefore, as at December 15, the indicator of newly-infected people was lower than the number of those, who recovered (10,622 vs 12,549).
The number of the active sick (only those sick) as at the morning of December 16, made 368,543 people, down 0.59% day over day.
Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (95,160), Kharkiv region (63,178), and Odesa region (59,974).
Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 54,833 coronavirus infection cases, Dnipropetrovsk region – 50,316; Kyiv region – 50,040 cases, Zaporizhia region – 43,835, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 41,082, Chernivtsi region – 37,266, Rivne region – 36,974, Sumy region - 36,251, Khmelnytskyi region – 35,157, Zhytomyr region – 34,611, Cherkasy region – 32,803, and Ternopil region – 31,581.
A total of 30,466 cases have been registered in Donetsk region, 30,466 cases – in Poltava region, 28,923 cases – in Volyn region, 26,432 cases - in Zakarpattia region, 25,330 cases - in Chernihiv region, 24,749 cases – in Mykolayiv region, 20,093 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 14,643 cases – in Kherson region, 8,166 cases – in Luhansk region, and 7,375 cases – in Kirovohrad region.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 14, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 8,416 over December 13 to 909,082, and the number of deaths increased by 233 over December 13 to 15,480; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 30.5%, and the number of new lethal cases rose 2.5 times.
On December 13, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 6,451 over December 12 to 900,666, and the number of deaths increased by 93 over December 12 to 15,247; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 29.7%, and the number of new lethal cases fell by 40.4%.
