As of December 14, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market in the unified energy system of Ukraine increased by 7.4% or UAH 119.48 per MWh to UAH 1,726.69 per MWh over December 7.
The Market Operator state-run enterprise has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In turn, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market within the Burshtyn Energy Island decreased by 0.1% or UAH 2.1 per MWh to UAH 1,583.29 per MWh.
Compared to prices on the European energy exchange Nord Pool, the price in the UES of Ukraine (EUR 50.94 per MWh) exceeds the prices in Norway (EUR 19.24 per MWh) 2.6 times, in Sweden (EUR 47.22 per MWh) – by 7.3%, in Germany (EUR 42.99 per MWh) by 16.6%, in France (EUR 47.54 per MWh) – by 6.7%, and in Austria (EUR 50.71 per MWh) by 0.4%.
At the same time, the price for electricity in Denmark (EUR 51.18 per MWh) by 2.4% higher than in Ukraine.
Also at the Hungarian stock exchange HUPX for the same period, the weighted average cost of electricity decreased by 15.4% or EUR 8.96 per MWh to EUR 49.35 per MWh (UAH 1,672.67 per MWh according to the NBU rate as of December 14).
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, as of December 7, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market in the unified energy system of Ukraine increased by 9% or UAH 132.53 per MWh to UAH 1,607.21 per MWh over November 30.
