Number Of PCR-Tests Up 40.3% To 35,425, Number Of ELISA Up 8.4 times 26,142 On November 23 – Health Ministry

On November 23, a total of 35,425 polymerase chain reaction tests (PCR) were conducted, up 40.3% over November 22; and the number of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) increased 8.4 times November 22 to 26,142.

Health Ministry has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Since the start of the year, a total of 4,279,025 polymerase chain reaction tests have been conducted.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 22, a total of 25,253 polymerase chain reaction tests (PCR) were conducted, down 9.8% over November 21; and the number of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) decreased 2.1 times November 21 to 3,121.

On November 23, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 12,287 over November 22 to 647,976, and the number of deaths rose by 188 over November 22 to 11,263; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 12.3%, and the number of new lethal cases rose by 51.6%.

According to the report, as at the morning of November 24, there were 647,976 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 11,263 lethal cases; besides, 299,358 people had recovered.

On November 23, a total of 12,287 new cases of the disease were recorded, 188 people died, and 8,298 people recovered.

Therefore, as at November 23, the indicator of newly-infected people was higher than the number of those, who recovered (12,287 vs 8,298).

The number of the active sick (only those sick) as at November 23, made 337,355 people, up 1.1% day over day.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (61,640), Kharkiv region (51,992), and Lviv region (42,050).
