On November 23, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 12,287 over November 22 to 647,976, and the number of deaths rose by 188 over November 22 to 11,263; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 12.3%, and the number of new lethal cases rose by 51.6%.
The National Security and Defense Council has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the report, as at the morning of November 24, there were 647,976 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 11,263 lethal cases; besides, 299,358 people had recovered.
On November 23, a total of 12,287 new cases of the disease were recorded, 188 people died, and 8,298 people recovered.
Therefore, as at November 23, the indicator of newly-infected people was higher than the number of those, who recovered (12,287 vs 8,298).
The number of the active sick (only those sick) as at November 23, made 337,355 people, up 1.1% day over day.
Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (61,640), Kharkiv region (51,992), and Lviv region (42,050).
Besides, Odesa region has registered a total of 38,766 coronavirus infection cases, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 32,826; Kyiv region – 32,301 cases, Chernivtsi region – 31,710, Dnipropetrovsk region – 30,606, Rivne region – 28,461, Zhytomyr region – 27,157, Khmelnytskyi region - 26,624, Ternopil region – 26,051, Zaporizhia region – 25,242, Sumy region – 23,896, and Volyn region – 22,221.
A total of 21,903 cases have been registered in Zakarpattia region, 20,498 cases – in Donetsk region, 19,143 cases – in Poltava region, 19,038 cases - in Cherkasy region, 15,745 cases - in Mykolayiv region, 15,658 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 15,405 cases – in Chernihiv region, 8,869 cases – in Kherson region, 5,719 cases – in Luhansk region, and 4,455 cases – in Kirovohrad region.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 22, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 10,945 over November 21 to 635,689, and the number of deaths rose by 124 over November 21 to 11,075; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 9.4%, and the number of new lethal cases fell by 10.1%.
On November 21, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 12,079 over November 20 to 624,744, and the number of deaths rose by 138 over November 20 to 10,951; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 17.2%, and the number of new lethal cases fell by 35.8%.
