On November 19, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by a record-breaking 1,391 over November 18 to 56,594, and the number of deaths rose by 33 to 1,080.
Kyiv City Mayor / Chairperson of the Kyiv City State Administration, Vitali Klitschko, announced that at a briefing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
There were 832 women aged 18-91; 462 men aged 18-87; 48 girls aged 1m-17y; and 49 boys aged 2m-16y among the people infected with the coronavirus on November 19.
Besides, the number includes 64 medical workers.
On November 19, a total of 84 people were hospitalized and the rest are staying in self-isolation.
A total of 376 people recovered in the capital on November 19.
In total, 20,391 residents of Kyiv have overcome the coronavirus.
The largest number of coronavirus cases was registered in Darnytskyi district - 185, Desnianskyi district – 184, and in Solomiyanskyi district - 165.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 18, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by a record-breaking 1,348 over November 17 to 55,203, and the number of deaths rose by 34 to 1,047.
On November 19, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine increased by 14,575 over November 18 to 598,085, and the number of deaths rose by 229 over November 18 to 10,598; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 9.1%, and the number of new lethal cases fell by 10.9%.
According to the report, as at the morning of November 19, there were 598,085 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 10,598 lethal cases; besides, 274,324 people had recovered.
On November 19, a total of 14,575 new cases of the disease were recorded, 229 people died, and 7,845 people recovered.
Therefore, as at November 19, the indicator of newly-infected people was higher than the number of those, who recovered (14,575 vs 7,845).
The number of the active sick (only those sick) as at November 20, made 313,163 people, up 2.1% day over day.
Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (56,594), Kharkiv region (50,252), and Lviv region (39,916).
Besides, Odesa region has registered a total of 36,053 coronavirus infection cases, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 30,684; Chernivtsi region – 30,143 cases, Kyiv region – 28,427, Rivne region – 27,054, Dnipropetrovsk region – 26,202, Zhytomyr region – 25,111, Ternopil region - 24,843, Zaporizhia region – 22,225, Sumy region – 20,872, and Zakarpattia region – 20,827.
A total of 20,651 cases have been registered in Volyn region, 19,223 cases – in Donetsk region, 17,403 cases – in Poltava region, 16,437 cases - in Cherkasy region, 14,857 cases - in Vinnytsia region, 14,181 cases – in Mykolayiv region, 13,159 cases – in Chernihiv region, 8,155 cases – in Kherson region, 5,474 cases – in Luhansk region, and 4,052 cases – in Kirovohrad region.
