On November 18, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by a record-breaking 1,348 over November 17 to 55,203, and the number of deaths rose by 34 to 1,047.
Kyiv City Mayor / Chairperson of the Kyiv City State Administration, Vitali Klitschko, announced that at a briefing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
There were 731 women aged 18-94; 554 men aged 18-87; 33 girls aged 1m-16y; and 30 boys aged 1m-16y among the people infected with the coronavirus on November 18.
Besides, the number includes 50 medical workers.
On November 18, a total of 107 people were hospitalized and the rest are staying in self-isolation.
A total of 459 people recovered in the capital on November 18.
In total, 20,015 residents of Kyiv have overcome the coronavirus.
The largest number of coronavirus cases was registered in Darnytskyi district - 294, Desnianskyi district – 188, and in Solomiyanskyi district - 166.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 17, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by a record-breaking 1,213 over November 16 to 53,855, and the number of deaths rose by 23 to 1,013.
On November 18, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine increased by 13,357 over November 17 to 583,510, and the number of deaths rose by 257 over November 17 to 10,369; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 6.9%, and the number of new lethal cases rose by 0.4%.
According to the report, as at the morning of November 18, there were 583,510 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 10,369 lethal cases; besides, 259,079 people had recovered.
On November 18, a total of 13,357 new cases of the disease were recorded, and 257 people died.
As at the morning of November 19, the number of the active sick (less those, who have recovered and died) was 314,062, up 4.2% day over day.
Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (55,203), Kharkiv region (49,618), and Lviv region (39,229).
