Odesa Region Considering Marine Passenger Terminal And Chkalov Sanatorium As Additional Spots For Accommodation Of Coronavirus-Infected People

Odesa region is considering the marine passenger terminal and the Chkalov sanatorium as additional spots for accommodation of coronavirus-infected people.

Acting chairperson of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Viacheslav Ovechkin, has said this at an online briefing, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Health Ministry is preparing for establishment of mobile hospitals in the city of Kyiv, Donetsk and Odesa regions.

On November 9, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine increased by 10,842 over November 8 to 479,197, and the number of deaths rose by 191 over November 8 to 8,756; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 24.8%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 66.1%.

According to the report, as at the morning of November 10, there were 479,197 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 8,756 lethal cases; besides, 214,657 people had recovered.

On November 9, a total of 10,842 new cases of the disease were recorded, 5,514 people recovered, 191 people died.

Therefore, on November 9, the indicator of newly-infected people was higher than the number of those, who recovered (10,842 vs 5,514).

As at the morning of November 10, the number of the active sick (less those, who have recovered and died) was 255,784, up 1.8% day over day.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (45,667), Kharkiv region (44,466), and Lviv region (34,304).

Besides, Odesa region has registered a total of 29,336 coronavirus infection cases, Chernivtsi region – 25,835; Ivano-Frankivsk region – 25,054 cases, Rivne region – 22,622, Ternopil region – 22,389, Kyiv region – 21,038, Khmelnytskyi region – 20,328, Zhytomyr region - 19,616, Dnipropetrovsk region – 18,324, Zakarpattia region – 17,620, Volyn region – 17,000, and Sumy region – 15,297 cases.

A total of 14,693 cases have been recorded in Zaporizhia region, 14,578 cases – in Donetsk region, 12,765 cases - in Vinnytsia region, 12,723 cases - in Poltava region, 10,919 cases – in Cherkasy region, 10,787 cases – in Mykolayiv region, 10,335 cases – in Chernihiv region, 5,833 cases – in Kherson region, 4,643 cases – in Luhansk region, and 3,204 cases – in Kirovohrad region.
