Weighted Average Price Of Electricity At Day-Ahead Market Up 12.1% To UAH 1,589 Per MWh On November 2-9

As of November 9, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market in the unified energy system of Ukraine increased by 12.1% or UAH 171.45 per MWh to UAH 1,588.85 per MWh over November 2.

The Market Operator state-run enterprise has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In turn, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market within the Burshtyn Energy Island increased by 6% or UAH 102.79 per MWh to UAH 1,819.2 per MWh.

Compared to prices on the European energy exchange Nord Pool, the price in the UES of Ukraine (EUR 47.53 per MWh) exceeds the prices in Norway (EUR 6.90 per MWh) 6.9 times, in Sweden (EUR 27.41 per MWh) – by 42.3%, in France (EUR 44.04 per MWh) by 7.3%, in Germany (EUR 44.88 per MWh) by 5.6%, in Austria (EUR 44.80 per MWh) by 5.7%.

Also at the Hungarian stock exchange HUPX for the same period, the weighted average cost of electricity increased by 11.1% or EUR 4.63 per MWh to EUR 46.38 per MWh (UAH 1,550.23 per MWh according to the NBU rate as of November 9).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, as of November 2, the weighted average price of electricity at the day-ahead market in the unified energy system of Ukraine increased by 33.3% or UAH 353.93 per MWh to UAH 1,417.4 per MWh over October 26.
