On November 5, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine increased by a record-breaking 9,721 over November 4 to 440,188, and the number of deaths rose by 201 over November 4 to 8,125; at the same time, the number of new cases fell by 1.3%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 4.2%.
The National Security and Defense Council has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the report, as at the morning of November 5, there were 440,188 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 8,125 lethal cases; besides, 195,544 people had recovered.
During the day, 9,721 new cases of the disease were recorded, 10,762 people recovered, 201 people died.
Therefore, on November 5, the indicator of newly-infected people was higher than the number of those, who recovered (9,721 vs 10,762).
As at the morning of November 6, the number of the active sick (less those, who have recovered and died) was 236,519, up 0.5% day over day.
Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (42,375), Kharkiv region (41,131), and Lviv region (32,425).
Besides, Odesa region has registered a total of 27,392 coronavirus infection cases, Chernivtsi region – 24,079; Ivano-Frankivsk region – 23,032 cases, Ternopil region – 21,708, Rivne region – 21,026, Kyiv region – 18,763, in Khmelnytskyi region – 18,438, Dnipropetrovsk region – 17,014, Zakarpattia region – 16,268, Volyn region – 15,313, and Sumy region – 13,635 cases.
A total of 13,128 cases have been recorded in Donetsk region, 12,196 cases – in Zaporizhia region, 11,923 cases - in Vinnytsia region, 11,337 cases - in Poltava region, 10,292 cases – in Cherkasy region, 9,787 cases – in Chernihiv region, 9,605 cases – in Mykolayiv region, 5,027 cases – in Kherson region, 4,214 cases – in Luhansk region, and 2,891 cases – in Kirovohrad region.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 4, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine increased by a record-breaking 9,850 over November 3 to 430,467, and the number of deaths rose by 193 over November 3 to 7,924; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 3%, and the number of new lethal cases fell by 3%.
On November 3, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine increased by a record-breaking 9,524 over November 2 to 420,617, and the number of deaths rose by 199 over November 2 to 7,731; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 7%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 26.8%.
