On November 2, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine increased by 8,899 over November 1 to 411,093, and the number of deaths rose by 157 over November 1 to 7,532; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 31.8%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 2.3 times.
The National Security and Defense Council has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the report, as at the morning of November 3, there were 411,093 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 7,532 lethal cases; besides, 168,868 people had recovered.
During the day, 8,899 new cases of the disease were recorded, 5,100 people recovered, 157 people died.
Therefore, on November 2, the indicator of newly-infected people was higher than the number of those, who recovered (8,899 vs 5,100).
As at the morning of November 2, the number of the active sick (less those, who have recovered and died) was 234,693, up 1.6% day over day.
Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (39,534), Kharkiv region (38,709), and Lviv region (31,134).
Besides, Odesa region has registered a total of 25,785 coronavirus infection cases, Chernivtsi region – 22,881; Ivano-Frankivsk region – 21,596 cases, Ternopil region – 21,186, Rivne region – 19,998, Kyiv region – 17,535, in Khmelnytskyi region – 16,928, Dnipropetrovsk region – 15,729, Zakarpattia region – 15,187, Volyn region – 14,234, and Sumy region – 12,409 cases.
A total of 11,731 cases have been recorded in Donetsk region, 11,096 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 10,797 cases - in Zaporizhia region, 10,190 cases - in Poltava region, 9,670 cases – in Cherkasy region, 9,213 cases – in Chernihiv region, 8,736 cases – in Mykolayiv region, 4,424 cases – in Kherson region, 3,881 cases – in Luhansk region, and 2,677 cases – in Kirovohrad region.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 1, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine increased by 6,754 over October 31 to 402,194, and the number of deaths rose by 69 over October 31 to 7,375; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 15.1%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 37.3%.
On October 31, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine increased by 7,959 over October 30 to 395,440, and the number of deaths rose by 110 over October 30 to 7,306; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 9%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 29%.
