Weighted Average Price Of Electric Energy On Tomorrow Market Up 33.3% To UAH 1,417 Per MWh In Unified Energy Grid On October 26 - November 2

As at November 2, the weighted average price of electric energy on the tomorrow market within the Ukrainian unified energy grid had increased by 33.3% or UAH 353.93 per MWh over October 26 to UAH 1,417.4 per MWh.

This follows from the respective data provided by the Market Operator state-run enterprise, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In turn, the weighted average price of electric energy in the unified energy grid within the Burshtyn Energy Island increased by 8.8% or UAH 138.7 per MWh to UAH 1,716.41 per MWh.

If compared with the prices at the Nord Pool energy exchange (Europe), the Ukrainian unified energy grid's price (EUR 42.63 per MWh) exceeds that in Norway (EUR 4.19 per MWh) 10.2 times; in Sweden (EUR 4.09 per MWh) 10.2 times; in Denmark (EUR 4.17 per MWh) 10.2 times; in France (EUR 26.7 per MWh) by 37.4%; in Germany (EUR 23.4 per MWh) by 45.1%, and in Austria (EUR 28.08 per MWh) by 34.1%.

Also, the weighted average price of electric energy on the Hungarian HUPX stock exchange for the same period increased by 0.7% or EUR 0.28 per MWh to EUR 41.75 per MWh (UAH 1,388.08 per MWh according to the NBU rate for October 26).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, as at October 26, the weighted average price of electric energy on the tomorrow market within the Ukrainian unified energy grid had decreased by 18.52% or UAH 241.74 per MWh over October 19 to UAH 1,063.46 per MWh.

Since July 1, 2019, a new electric energy market has been launched in Ukraine.
