Court Collects From Ukrtransgaz UAH 5.2 Billion Of Debt To Naftogaz On Contract On Supplies Of Gas For Technological Needs Of Gas Transportation System

The Economic Court of Kyiv has collected UAH 5.187 billion of debt of the Ukrtransgaz company, the operator of the Ukrainian gas transmission system, to the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint stock company on the contract on supplies of natural gas for technological needs of the gas transportation system.

According to the state register, the court made the decision on January 31, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Naftogaz sued Ukrtransgaz for improper execution of the contract in January - April 2017.

Naftogaz supplied Ukrtransgaz 1.518 billion cubic meters of gas for UAH 13.998 billion and the latter company has not paid UAH 2.048 billion.

The court partially satisfied the lawsuit of Naftogaz and collected from Ukrtransgaz UAH 2.048 billion of the principal debt, UAH 1.688 billion of fines, UAH 332.4 million of interests, UAH 1.315 billion of inflation losses, and UAH 611.3 million of the court fee.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2017, the Naftogaz group paid UAH 106 billion as taxes and dividends to the state budget.

In 2017 the Naftogaz group increased its net profit 2.2 times or by UAH 21.6 billion to UAH 39.449 billion compared to 2016.

In 2017, the revenues from sales increased by 18% or UAH 34.714 billion to UAH 227.478 billion.

The Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint stock company is a leading enterprise of the fuel and energy complex of the country, which is engaged in exploration and development of fields, drilling, transportation and storage of oil and gas, as well as the supply of gas to consumers.

Ukrtransgaz has a network of 38,550 kilometers of gas pipeline, an annual capacity of 287.7 billion cubic meters of gas at the entrance into the gas transmission system, and 178.5 billion cubic meters at the exit.

The gas transmission system consists of 72 compressor stations (with a capacity 5,544.3 MW) and 702 gas-pumping units.

Ukrtransgaz operates 12 underground gas storage facilities with a total capacity of 30.95 billion cubic meters.

The Naftogaz of Ukraine national energy company owns 100% of the shares in the Ukrtransgaz public joint-stock company.
