On December 13, Netishyn-based Khmelnytska nuclear power plant (Khmelnytskyi region) disconnected its power unit 2 from the Ukrainian unified energy grid for fixing a transformer.
The press service of Kyiv-based Energoatom national nuclear energy generating company has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The power unit was disconnected from the Ukrainian unified energy grid at 6.33 a.m.
The power unit 2 of the NPP gives 1,003 MW.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Khmelnytska NPP operates two power units of the VVER-1000 type and total designed capacity of 2,000 MW (commissioned in 1987 and 2004).
