Groysman Expecting IMF's Tranche In December

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman says the Ukrainian government is expecting a tranche from the International Monetary Fund in December 2018.

He said this in an interview with Reuters, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Yes, we count on the tranche (within the IMF program) in December," he said.

The prime minister notes that adoption of the law on the 2019 state budget will allow continuation of the cooperation with the International Monetary Fund.

He says the adoption of the 2019 state budget may occur next week.

According to the prime minister, the IMF's tranche is required for the financial partnership with the World Bank, the European Union, and the government of the United States regarding the new program of allocation of state guarantees.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in October 2018, the National Bank of Ukraine said it expected a tranche of the International Monetary Fund by the end of 2018.

Verkhovna Rada Chairperson Andriy Parubiy said at a meeting with a representative of the International Monetary Fund that the state budget for 2019 might be adopted on November 22.
