The National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine (NACB) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SACPO) intend to ask a court select a bail of UAH 5 million as a measure of preventive punishment for Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelian suspected of illegal enrichment and declaring incorrect information.
SACPO said this to Ukrainian News Agency.
"We will ask a bail of UAH 5 million," a representative of SACPO said.
According to the representative, prosecutors will not ask the court to arrest Olemian.
The documents are being prepared.
The representative of SACPO cannot say when a court will consider a measure of preventive punishment for Omelian.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 13, the NACB officially notified Omelian of his being suspected of illegal enrichment and declaring incorrect information.
