Lawyer: Bochkovskyi Will Try To Occupy Office Of Head Of Emergency Situations Service On August 16-17

Serhii Bochkovskyi, who has been reinstated by a court as the head of the State Emergency Situations Service, will make attempts to occupy his office on August 16-17.

His lawyer Volodymyr Yenich said this to Ukrainian News Agency.

According to the lawyer, Bochkovskyi has received the full text of the ruling of the Kyiv Administrative Appeal Court and necessary documents have been sent to the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Emergency Situations Service.

“Yesterday (August 14) we sent a letter to the State Emergency Situations Service and, possibly, tomorrow (August 16) or on Friday (August 17) we will visit and go to the State Emergency Situations Service,” he said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 26, 2018, the Kyiv Administrative Appeal Court upheld the decision to reinstate the former head of the State Emergency Situations Service, Serhii Bochkovskyi.

Bochkovskyi and deputy head of the State Emergency Situations Service Vasyl Stoetskyi were detained at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on March 25, 2015, on suspicion of corruption.

Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov rules out reinstatement of Serhii Bochkovskyi as head of the State Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine.
