State Emergency Service’s former head Serhii Bochkovskyi has received one salary following a ruling of the Kyiv District Administrative Court on his reinstatement at the post. His lawyer Ihor Fedorchenko said this to Ukrainian News Agency. "He has just been paid one salary. I.e. they have virtually started abiding by the court ruling. This is progress," he said. According to the lawyer, following the court ruling Bochkovskyi will be paid UAH 500,000. He has been paid UAH 15,000. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Kyiv District Administrative Court ruled on April 26 that the government's decision to dismiss Bochkovskyi was illegal and canceled the decision. The court also ordered to pay wages to Bochkovskyi for the time since his arrest in March 2015. Minister of Interior Affairs Arsen Avakov has ruled out reinstatement of Bochkovskyi as the head of the State Emergency Service. Bochkovskyi and deputy head of the State Emergency Service Vasyl Stoyetskyi were detained at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on March 25, 2015, on suspicion of corruption.
