The consolidated (direct and state-secured) debt of Ukraine in April shrank by 0.4% or USD 0.32 billion to USD 77.05 billion (as at April 30) month over month.
The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The state and state-secured debt as at late April made UAH 2,020.98 billion or USD 77.05 billion over UAH 2,053.60 billion or USD 77.37 billion month over month.
The total size of the direct state debt as at April 30 made UAH 1,748.74 billion (USD 66.67 billion) over UAH 1,772.82 billion (USD 66.79 billion) month over month.
At that the direct external debt in April shrank by USD 280 million to USD 38.22 billion, while the direct internal debt decreased by UAH 4.64 billion to UAH 746.14 billion.
As at April 30, 2018, the state-secured debt made UAH 272.24 billion or USD 10.38 billion.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the state and state-secured debt of Ukraine rose in 2017 by 7.5% or USD 5.33 billion to USD 76.31 billion.
In 2016, the total state debt of Ukraine rose from USD 65.51 billion to USD 70.97 billion.
