President Petro Poroshenko has signed the law that allows the National Bank of Ukraine to establish a credit register.
Press service of the President of Ukraine said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The establishment of the credit register and improvement of credit risk management processes are one of the requirements for further cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Union.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on August 30, 2017, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the bill on establishment of the credit register of all borrowers.
The register is a single database aimed at keeping, exchange and provision of information about credit transactions of banks and about the state of fulfillment of obligations on them.
