Population's Debt For Housing And Utility Services Up 14.1% To UAH 32.9 Billion In January

In January, the population's debt for housing and utility services increased by 14.1% or UAH 4,060.7 million to UAH 32,903.6 million month over month.

The State Statistics Service announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The debt for apartment rent increased by UAH 80.5 million to amount to UAH 3,109.6 million as of February 1, 2018.

Heating and hot-water supply debt increased by UAH 1,805.3 million to amount to UAH 12,953.5 million.

The debt for gas supplies increased by UAH 2,238.7 million to UAH 14,686.7 million.

In January, the largest heating and hot-water supply debts were registered in Kyiv city (UAH 2,940.314 million), Kharkiv region (UAH 2,179.619 million) and Dnipropetrovsk region (UAH 2,000.745 million).

The largest gas supply debts in January were registered in Kharkiv region (UAH 1,847.160 million), Dnipropetrovsk region (UAH 1,947.788 million) and Kyiv region (UAH 1,889.423 million).

The largest apartment rent debts in January were recorded in Kyiv city (UAH 651.680 million), Dnipropetrovsk region (UAH 623.982 million) and Donetsk region (UAH 315.398 million).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in December, the population's debt for housing and utility services increased by 6.3% or UAH 1,715.3 million to UAH 28,842.9 million month over month.
