Poroshenko: Agreement Reached On Return Of 2 Ukrainians Jailed In Russia To Ukraine Before March 5

President Petro Poroshenko has announced that agreement has been reached on return of two Ukrainian citizens jailed in Russia to Ukraine before March 5.

Poroshenko was speaking at a press conference, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"I can say that we will bring two more of our hostages back home before the end of this year. An agreement has been reached and a place and a date exist. I think that this will not fail. I can say that this is in my highest priority, and I will handle it personally. Decisions about each one of them (the Ukrainian prisoners) are being made at the highest level in Russia," he said.

Poroshenko also expressed confidence that the Ukrinform national news agency's journalist Roman Suschenko, who is under arrest in Russia, will be returned to Ukraine in the near future.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Poroshenko recently said that Ukraine was ready to exchange convicted Russian military servicemen for Suschenko.
