The state budget expenses for foreign visits of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in 2017 are estimated at UAH 34.3 million.
The State Affairs Department said this to Ukrainian News Agency following its inquiry.
"The total sum of expenses for visits of the President of Ukraine abroad in 2017 made UAH 34,341,000," reads the document.
The average sum per a foreign trip of President Poroshenko makes UAH 1.3 million.
Prior to this the Presidential Administration said President Petro Poroshenko made 26 foreign visits to 18 countries in 2017.
In 2017, there were two state visits to Georgia and Malta.
In 2017, President Poroshenko had seven official visits to Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and Portugal.
In 2017, the President of Ukraine performed 17 working visits, including four visits to France, three visits to Germany, two visits to the United States, two visits to Belgium, one working visit to each of Switzerland, Malta, Belarus, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Lithuania.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2018, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has visited Switzerland to take part in the World Economic Forum in Davos.
In 2018, President Poroshenko has also visited Austria to meet with the authorities and to take part in the Vienna Opera Ball. The President of Ukraine was invited by Federal President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen.
In 2018, the President of Ukraine has visited Lithuania on the invitation of President Dalia Grybauskaite. He participated in events marking the 100th anniversary of the restoration of Lithuanian statehood.
President Poroshenko ha also visited Germany to attend the Munich Security Conference.
