The Security Service of Ukraine says 40 Ukrainian citizens take part in military actions on the side of the Wagner private military company.
The SBU said this to Ukrainian News Agency.
The number of identified Ukrainian citizens in the illegal private military company is nearly 40.
The SBU possesses information that the Wagner private military company was forming a group of Ukrainian citizens for sending to Syria. The group is called Carpathians.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in November 2017, the SBU stated that forces of the Wagner Group, Russian private military formation, entered the occupied Luhansk region to shore up so-called minister of internal affairs of the self-styled Luhansk People's Republic Igor Kornet.
