Court Orders 40-Day Detention Of Ex-Detective Of PGO Sus

The Solomiyanskyi District Court of Kyiv has ordered 40-day arrest of Dmytro Sus, a former deputy head of the department for investigation of especially important economic cases and the head of the Department for Investigation of Criminal Proceedings in the Economic Sphere at the Prosecutor General's Office.

His lawyer Dmytro Dmytrenko announced this to Ukrainian News Agency.

On February 13, the court satisfied a motion of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and changed the measure of preventive punishment in kind of a bail of UAH 1.76 million for detention.

Dmytro Sus had not paid the bail.

He was brought to the Lukianivka remand prison in Kyiv at 9 p.m.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 16, the Solomiyanskyi District Court of Kyiv changed home arrest as the measure of preventive punishment for Dmytro Sus for a bail of UAH 1.76 million.

Dmytro Sus said he did not have money to pay the bail.
